Far Eastern Cooking with Wan Kwai
Wan Kwai was founded in 1958 as an import house for Asian food by Franz Hönekopp and is now managed in the third generation by Bianca Hönekopp. The Franz Hönekopp KG pioneered in Germany and communicated here first the Indonesian rice table and later the
Chinese cuisine for self cooking. The concept consisted until today, because the Far Eastern cuisine is still receiving increasing popularity and still holds many secrets to be discovered. In 2012, the Importhaus Wilms took over the distribution of the Asian brand Wan Kwai and has since been working in cooperation with Hönekopp on the expansion
and optimization of the product range. The Franz Hönekopp KG
places great importance to product quality and is in constant contact with their suppliers.
Chinese New Year 2014
In the Asian Region the most important public holiday is the Chinese New Year, which is a culinary fireworks. Whether spring rolls or Nian Gao (sweet rice cake), from fish to delicious pasta dishes: in 15 days exotic food spoil the palate. But not only taste preferences determine the menu: A selection of meals and rites are reputed to banish evil spirits and bring good luck for the new year. Also this year the gourmet-food brand Wan Kwai offered a variety of new products for all Far Eastern cooking friends. Since 2012, the Importhaus Wilms distributes exclusively the products of the high quality Asian brand Wan Kwai and proves by the sophisticated range a pronounced sense of trends and topics of Far Eastern cuisine. This sense is also shown in the design of the displays. The new displays at the POS are original, unusual and eye-catching an suit perfectly to Chinese New Year 2014. Displays present selected specialties and are provided with exotic recipes for consumers. The promotional campaign will be reinforced by the POS tastings, whereby the customer can directly experience and enjoy the Wan Kwai products. Additional secondary placements provide strong ontop sales for the retail and an increase in the rate of turnover in the food retailing.
