For more than 80 years, the La Baleine sea salt has been harvested by salt workers in Aigues-Mortes on the Mediterranean coast of Southern France. The sea salt is extracted from their very own salt marshes which are located in a natural conservation area. While extracting the salt, there is a lot of importance placed on naturalness, sustainability and careful treatment of our environment.
La Baleine’s sea salt is salt with special qualities. Each grain is created by nature, as the salt crystals are formed by the evaporation of the sea water. The collaboration between the warm Mediterranean sun and the wind plays a very important role in this.
