Wan Kwai was founded by Franz Hönnekopp in 1958 as an importer for Asian groceries and is now led in the third generation by Bianca Hönekopp. Franz Hönekopp KG was a pioneer in Germany and initially promoted Indonesian rice dishes and later on – due to an ever increasing range of Eastern Asian products – the Chinese cuisine.
The concept still works today, as the Far Eastern cuisine continues to increase in popularity and still holds culinary secrets to be unveiled. The company consistently works on tending the assortment.
Franz Hönekopp KG puts absolute priority on the product quality and is in constant contact with its suppliers, which partially have existed for decades. Besides sauces, spices and vegetables, the current range also comprises many authentic and high-quality Asian specialities.
